My Background

I’m Katherine Trame, the voice behind Cyber Risk Witch — a cybersecurity professional and former threat intelligence analyst with over two decades of experience protecting data, identifying threats, and navigating the complex intersections of digital security and human behavior.

My career began in law enforcement, where I specialized in intelligence analysis, digital forensics, criminal profiling, and investigative support. I trained with government agencies including the U.S. Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Homeland Security, honing my skills in threat identification, forensic analysis, and behavioral risk assessment.

After more than a decade in public service, I moved to the corporate world, conducting hands-on digital forensic investigations, incident response, and threat analysis before transitioning into leadership. I’ve led cybersecurity operations and cyber risk management teams at multiple Fortune 500 companies.

Threat and risk identification has been a core focus throughout my career, fusing cybersecurity expertise with behavioral risk analysis and investigative insight.
